Limited Edition Art Book – Sculptural Light Object

This book is a journey into the depths of a child's imagination that still lives within me. It is dedicated to everyone who longs to reconnect with their inner child.
My inner child saw Socotra island, Yemen, in her own way: as a world where fairy-tale creatures and nightmarish visions come to life, where bizarre plants appear as sorcerers and fairies, and where every landscape can become a portal to another reality. Others may perceive this space differently, but for me, Socotra became a place where reality dissolved into dreams. Yemen is a country rarely associated with fairy tales, yet the absence of civilization and the island’s isolation created the illusion of another world for me.
Like Alice, I fell into my own Wonderland—this book is my attempt to capture that experience.
The narrative follows a "chain" composition principle, where each subsequent frame is connected to the previous one through details—either literal or metaphorical. These subtle links invite the viewer to trace their own path through the images, discovering hidden connections and creating their own fairy tale about Socotra.
The book is presented as a self-standing light object. Its structure integrates an internal light source that illuminates the space around the image — producing a subtle aura that frames the front photograph in a soft glow.
Each image is printed on museum-grade Hahnemühle paper. The light gathers along the edges—creating a tension between material density and perceptual weightlessness. The effect is both sculptural and atmospheric.
Each book contains 31 images, individually removable and interchangeable. The viewer is invited to select which image will face forward—transforming the book into an evolving visual presence. When not illuminated, it remains a minimalist art object.
The book invites arrangement, pause, and physical engagement.
Edition of 15, handmade, signed, and numbered.
